Old Hollywood
lately i've been craving good movies. movies with people that can actually act. i hate to be cliche but they just don't make em like they used to. i mean really who can actually say they say this in a movie last weekend?
nobody that's who. now they take crappy scripts add ok actors and computer graphic of buildings exploding and make 8 million dollars an hour. i want costumes and dance numbers. i want technicolor and tap dancing. i want this
not this
maybe it's because my mom raised me with nick at night and turner classic movies but i have an appreciation for mgm classics that not everyone shares. i'm sure i know people that don't even know who fred astair is. i mean heck patrick thought dick van dyke was in singing in the rain! i almost died. of course now he thinks it's hilarious to ask if dick van dyke is in every movie set before 1970. hilarious.
now i totally want to curl up on the couch and watch old movies with hot chocolate. it's cold here today. although i thought the same thing yesterday but it was 70 degrees. 70 but felt like 60. for real though i'm not just being a wuss.
song lyrics of the day:
I really can't stay
(but baby it's cold outside)
I've got to go away
(but baby it's cold outside)
