Work It Out

i have a dirty secret. it's not really that exciting but i don't really publicise it too often. i .......jazzercise. yes i now you are in your mind picturing old ladies in thong leotards doing step aerobics but it's not like that anymore.

i started about 1 1/2 years ago because one of the teachers at the dance studio i work for at home is co-owner of a jazzercise. i also have done dance performances and classes with her so i trust her judgement. i even class managed (checked people in) for her so i could go for free-gotta save those bills. when i moved to california i had looked up what jazzercise facility i wanted to go o based on proximity to my casa and number of classes offered. so i emailed the lady told her what was up and joined. well i only attended one class before i went home to visit. i didn't really know what i was getting myself into. in omaha i go to 2places that are owned by the same people. they have like 30 classes a week starting at like 5:30am and ending at 8:30. they have about 20 or more instructors between the two centers so you don't have to worry about getting bored. yes i pretty much went to the same peoples classes every week but i like having options i am after all female.
here in the golden state that's not the case. the place i go to is in a dance studio. this doesn't really bother me because i've spent 80% or more of my life in a dance studio but i don't like to workout in front of a mirror. also there are only 2 teachers. this would not be an issue if i didn't have the same one every day doing pretty much the same routines every day. it makes me lazy in class. the first or second day i'm fine but by thursday i'm so sick of the routines i can't stand it. not to mention she doesn't really vary them much we've done the same 2 upper body routines like 10 days in a row. news flash there are a million upper body routines to chose from. but the worse part is not the setting or the "illegal sets"( there's a format your supposed to follow and you have to be using current routines etc) with the same freaking routines everyday. the worst thing is the people. yes they are harmless and i'm sure nice but they are very regimented in where they stand. i get it i have my spot i like to stand in when i take dance class but they take it too far. if i'm near some body's favorite spot they just shove their way right into it. they will literally stand a foot away from you. plus it's always the super uncoordinated people that can't get on the beat or do the steps right. there are like 5 basic steps that are done in almost every routine not to mention you're old so you've been doing it for how long and you still can't get it!!? get serious! and get the hell out of my way! i can do a fucking ball change you can't move to the back of the class! i don't want to have to modify my workout because i have no room to move. it's seriously annoying.
song lyrics of the day:
oh no! he fight's out
i'ma 'bout to punch yo...lights out
get the fuck back, guard ya grill
there's somethin' wrong, we can't stay still

p.s. there is something called the art & tacos of guanajuato on tv right now
