Cars and Stars
ugh. so our parking spot that i park in is on the end of the row. it's a carport which is the norm in ca and there are 2 wooden columns. well i was leaving for class and the steering wheel must have been turned to far and i though i was backed out far enough but i wasn't. i hit the fucking column and put a dent in my car above the wheel well. now i'm no stranger to car repairs so i'm not excited about how much a quarter panel is going to cost me. i don't think the bumper is damaged and i'm hoping they can just pound out the dent. ugh soooo annoying. can't i have on freaking car that i don't damage in any way. i'm secretly hoping the car port will fall down on my car making the apartment liable. needless to say i made a large alcoholic beverage when i got home.

last night patrick and i went on a hunt for meteors. we drove first to a park area down the road patrick saw 2 right away while i was messing with the camera. needless to say the pictures didn't take because i don't really know how to work it and it was too dark and too far away. then we drove a bit further down the road and parked in a neighborhood. i finally saw when and then we came back home. i wanted to stay and look for more but it was already 1:30am and it was too cloudy. the best place i've ever stargazed would have to be an observation tower at platte river state park. when i went there for theater camp we would go up there and just hang out and lay there and see a million shooting stars. when i lived in philly i rarely saw stars because of all the city lights. i used to be really into stars. i took a class once where we got to go in this thing called starlab. it's like a giant tent and they project the constellations on the ceilling and tell you all about them. now all i know is ursa major and ursa minor, orion, the north star the basic ones. it's ok i'll admit that's kinda geeky.

song lyrics of the day:
The highways jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide

needless to say, a secret hope is not a secret once it's out on the world wide web
