Dance Party USA
so since patrick is gone i have to find ways to occupy my time. now in reality there is no difference between when he is here to when he isn't but i feel like there should be. yesterday i went to brentwood and got to go to the closest thing in my area to super target which would be target greatland. target greatland is the medium of the targets. it doesn't have a produce section or as many grocery aisles but more than plain ol' target. super target still has my heart no contest. i also went to pier one and world market to look for an occasional type table for by our front door. i didn't find anything that i liked for as much as it cost. by then i was starving so i got jamba juice and went home. don't get me wrong i looooove jamba juice but it makes me mad sometimes because i always order basically the same thing (i try to alternate between about 4 flavors) and every once and awhile it sucks. i don't get it. there's a freaking recipe right above that says how many ounces to put in so it should always taste the same. i would think reading would be a requirement to work there. i then fell asleep on the couch (aka my bed) at about 10 and woke up at 5 or 6. now i am beginning to want to take a nap because i haven't had my required 15 hours of sleep.
i have to go to home depot and get more screws. i'm in the process of finally getting the cds on the cd shelves. i have to attach them to the walls because as we learned they tip over on our thick carpet. i am annoyed with the wall because the studs are 16 inches apart so i have to have space between them and it will most likely look dumb. home depot is open until 10 so i could either go before i teach or i could go after. the problem with going after is that it will be dark and we don't have a lamp in the little bedroom. *why is it that apartments don't have over head lights?*
i've been watching american dreams season 1. the other seasons aren't on dvd and trust me i'm not happy about it. i wish i could live in it. it's pretty much my perfect tv show. it has all the good stuff music, dance, the 50s/60s. did you know that kiwi came about during that time? there's an episode where they eat it and they are all freaked out by it. the other sad thing about this show is i don't know how it ended. they never finished airing the final season. (i think it got cancelled mid season.) seeing all these american bandstand clips makes me sing and dance. i wish i had that malt shop memories cd collection. i tried to convince my mom to buy it for me off of tv once but she didn't. i don't think they have a 60s equivalent. if they did i'd buy that one too.
ok i'm yawning time for a nap. man i have a tough life.
